TalkingPoint Commander (speech recognition)

 
TalkingPoint Commander is an advanced voice interface using Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 8 or 9.5.  It provides a comprehensive set of intuitive VoiceCommands in addition to Dragon's standard voice commands.
 
It enables navigation between files and applications and to control work flow in the minimum number of steps (single voice commands replace a number of clicks and keystrokes).

There are TalkingPoint commands for all the commonly used Microsoft Office applications.  It can also be used with many other programs operating on a Windows platform.

Database Entry

Data can be entered and edited on most applications operating on the Windows platform.  Fields can be navigated and edited with speed and ease using only voice commands.  Text and memo fields can be edited in situ.  The voice window can be activated to take full advantage Dragon's "Select-And-Say" editing commands.

Microsoft Outlook

Contact management is controlled by voice command, as is e-mail communication, without the need for keyboard or mouse. It enables one to:

  • Manage a contact database.
  • Compose, send, forward or reply to e-mails.
  • Generate tasks and handle reminders.
  • Initiate automatic dialling for phone calls.
  • Arrange meetings and appointments.
  • Search contact database find people, companies etc.

All without recourse to keyboard or mouse! All by voice commands!

TalkingPoint has excellent text editing in Microsoft Outlook, and the TalkingPoint commands optimises Dragon's excellent functionality to take you instantly to where you to go, ready to do what you want to do.

Microsoft Word


TalkingPoint simplifies working with Microsoft Word by using simple intuitive VoiceCommands to replace numerous keystrokes and clicks.
  • File handling and browsing (e.g. "Open File", “ Save File”, etc.)
  • View Control (e.g. say "Page Layout View" to change the view)
  • Style Setting (e.g. say "Normal Style" to set the style of the selection)
  • Review and Editing (e.g. say "Find and Replace" to make changes)
  • Object Insertion (e.g. say "Insert Foot Note")

Vocabulary Management

TalkingPoint minimises the time spent improving voice files.  For example, you can highlight a phrase anywhere on the desktop and say "Edit Vocabulary" to have the selected phrase added to the vocabulary (with automatically generated written and spoken forms).
 
Correction Box control is enhanced to minimise the time taken to teach Dragon when it mishears.
