Support

Free support is given to new users of TalkingPoint products for a period of three months following installation. This support is provided either by telephone or by e-mail.  If a visit is required time and travel may be charged.

Further support is available by means of the maintenance contract.  Please refer to the copy of the maintenance contract prospectus below.

MAINTENANCE CONTRACT PROSPECTUS

Introduction.

TalkingPoint software is produced by GHG Software Developments Ltd, and is marketed by Voicescene Ltd who also undertake installation and commissioning of the software and the training of the users.

GHG and Voicescene are pleased to offer jointly this MAINTENANCE CONTRACT, the purpose of which is to provide TalkingPoint users with effective support, and the benefit of the latest upgrades.

Services Provided under the Contract.

Services provided under this MAINTENANCE CONTRACT are as follows:

  • Telephone support throughout normal working hours.
  • E-mail support at all times.
  • Free upgrades to TalkingPoint as and when they are issued by GHG.
  • Upgrades to Dragon NaturallySpeaking at trade cost plus 10%.
  • Upgrades to Philips and Olympus software at trade cost plus 10% for equipment supplied by Voicescene for use with TalkingPoint.

There will be normally no limit on the number of calls or e-mails requesting support.  Initial response to all calls and e-mails will be made within one working day.  Voicescene and GHG undertake to address and correct problems with all reasonable speed.

This MAINTENANCE CONTRACT specifically excludes on-site support.

This MAINTENANCE CONTRACT will not apply in the cases where the user requires TalkingPoint to be adapted to  new or modified applications other than standard Microsoft office applications.

Maintenance Contract Terms.

The MAINTENANCE CONTRACT is available to all licensed users and is renewable annually.

The charges for the MAINTENANCE CONTRACT will be calculated on the basis of the number of users.  Users include authors and secretarial workstations. The basic charges are:

 Secretary Speech-to-Text£150.00 per work station

Where TalkingPoint has been installed on a number of workstations for a single user, extra charges may be incurred and will be dealt with on a case specific basis.

Multiple users in a single location may be offered reduced rates to those quoted above and will be dealt with on a case specific basis.

VoiceScene expressly excludes any consequential liability for its failure to provide any Services related to this contract.  Its liability shall be strictly limited in any maintenance period (usually 1 year) to the value of the contract in that year.
