Health and Disability

A great deal of work and study has gone into providing the optimum seating position for the keyboard operator.  Even so, repetitive strain injury, back and neck problems and associated injuries are increasingly common.

By dispensing with the need for the keyboard and mouse these risks are eliminated.

It is possible to work with the computer by voice while sitting, standing or even lying down.  There is no postural constraint.  This has to be a great advantage for the health of the worker and a significant contributor to improved working morale.

Clearly, persons with any form of disability affecting their hands and fingers as a result of illness or injury, will benefit from the TalkingPoint speech recognition system.

TalkingPoint also works seamlessly with a number of other specialist software packages used by persons with visual disability.

It is supported by the JobCentre Plus Access to Work programme.
